About Us

"A child of five if properly instructed can as truly believe and be regenerated as an adult."
-Charles Spurgeon
Steven accepted Christ into his life at the young age of four and Kayla at the age of three. Many people may find this notion to be ridiculous and argue, saying that a child could never understand salvation or the Bible in order to make such a big decision. However, today we are happy to say: This myth has been busted.
Why children though? Why not wait till they are adults and can understand theology to the best of their ability? Adolf Hitler once said, "Give me a child for the first four years of their life, and I'll have them for the rest of their life." What children learn in their early years of life is what they hold to be true for the rest of their lives. What are the children of today being taught? The schools teach them that we have evolved and that we are accidents.
Statistics show that the majority of Christians put their faith in Christ between the ages of five and fourteen. These are the ages where we have our best opportunity to reach them. This is why we have devoted our lives to Children's ministry.
Growing up, we both had a passion for ministry and reaching children. We were involved in our church's puppet ministry, we helped out with all of our church's children's programs and eventually began working with Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF) in their Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA) program.
All through high school we worked with CEF during the summer teaching 5-Day Clubs® which are hour and a half long programs that go on for five consecutive days. We went through an intense two week training course every summer to learn how to teach songs, bible and missionary stories, verses, and games in a way that a child can enjoy and understand. Towards the end of high school we were asked to run the summer program, which ended up being an amazing experience. We recruited other teens to work with us, set up the clubs, and went out and taught clubs all day ourselves. Oh, did I mention we also both worked evening jobs because we were saving up to get married?
Yes, somewhere along the way we fell in love. We both have a passion for ministry and a love for children and it would seem that God saw fit to make us life long partners in an endeavor to reach children with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
We were married August 14, 2010 and moved to Chicago IL, where Steven attended Moody Bible Institute, majoring in Children's Ministry. After praying where we ought to go next, God made it evident that we were to head back to Pennsylvania where our roots are, to become the local directions of Butler county.
We are excited to be starting this journey together-to be using our life's Moments 4 Ministry- we want you to be a part of it. This blog is a way for us to keep in constant contact with you, to share prayer request, as well as what we are learning and doing. We hope that you are as excited as we are and have a desire to see children saved.

"Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)
